Key Elements of an EYH Conference:

  • One day conference for young women in grades 6 to 8
  • Small group interactions with female STEM role models
  • Hands on STEM workshops led by the role models

You will:

*Have a great time with other girls
*Take part in cool, interesting and fun science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities
*Learn about great STEM jobs that are enjoyable, pay well and contribute to society
*Meet women in some of those jobs
*Learn how YOU can have one of those jobs in the future
All activities take place at the Cooperative Middle School in Stratham, NH. The conference is free to all participants thanks to volunteers and corporate sponsors who believe in the advancement of women in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Keynote Speaker:

Hayley LaPoint

Hayley LaPoint is the weekend evening meteorologist at WMUR-TV.  She grew up in Topsfield, Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology and an Associate's degree in TV News from Lyndon State College in Vermont.

Before working for WMUR, Hayley worked at WPTZ-TV in Plattsburgh, NY/Burlington, VT and in Fargo, ND at KVLY-TV &KXJB-TV.  While in Fargo, Hayley received the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from the American Meteorological Society.

Hayley lives in Windham with her husband Jim, who is also a meteorologist, and their young daughter.
